Into The Valley was just the beginning…
Last year the inaugural Into The Valley music festival took place in the converted quarry Dalhalla, in the lush forests north of Stockholm, Sweden. The second edition took place in 2016, with the unique venue and carefully selected lineup bringing in thousands of eager electronic music fans to dance, drink, eat, and camp for 2 days in July. Little did we know that the festival organisers, Music Goes Further, were planning something much, much, bigger.
We’ve since been introduced to 3 new venues for upcoming festivals. Rummu, Estonia will play host to Into The Valley 2017. In addition, Into the Factory will be taking place in Nynäshamn, Sweden and Into the Castle in Cape Town January 2018. Yet to be announced are 3 presumably equally impressive venues for 3 additional festivals before the end of 2019.
The premise of the festival includes attention to detail in every aspect that could affect the experience for guests. Transport, line-ups, hospitality, sound quality, ambiance – all are taken seriously and the end result is a series of unforgettable events poised to spread across the globe. One glance at the chosen venues (another abandoned quarry by a lake, deserted industrial factory, and a 17th century castle) and you can see that the opportunities for great things are almost endless. Topped off with the capable music selection of some of the world’s top djs, it’s looking like it’s about time to start planning for the festivities…
Here’s a sneak peak of what we know so far about the upcoming festivals & their locations:
Into The Valley – Rummu Quarry, Estonia
June 29th – July 1st 2017
45 km from Tallinn, Estonia. Rummu is a former quarry, surrounded by green nature and crystal clear water with an attached little beach. The site also includes a former prison taking the visitor back in time, far away from reality.
Into The Factory – Stora Viken, Sweden
August 10th-12th 2017
10 km from Nynäshamn. 68 km from Stockholm. Stora Vika is an industrial park, far away from domiciliation, making Into the Factory an isolated festival. The site includes grey buildings and silos creating a totally unusual festival feeling.
Into The Castle – Castle of Good Hope, South Africa
Jan 27th-27th 2018
The Castle of Good Hope is a fort in Cape Town, built in the 17th century. It’s actually the oldest construction still maintained in South Africa. Some says it’s haunted due to a guard who hang himself in one of the bells. Sometimes the bell is ringing even though no one’s there…
